“First we do some Internet study. Then we start a blog, so that other girls can learn from our mistakes and duplicate our successes,” Kara continued. “We've got to think of a catchy title.”
“Wait! I don't want anyone to know what I'm doing in case it blows up in my face. I don't really care for public humiliation, Kara.”
“It will be an anonymous blog, Claire. No one will ever know.”
“Um,” I wasn't sure.
“Do you ever want to ever have any romance in your life? You've got to take risks. Trust me here. What is the worst thing that could happen? You might just NOT find romance. How will that be any worse than your life now?”
“All right, I'm in,” and so it began.

This was an enjoyable read! The characters of Claire, Kara, Dolf, and Devon are well-written, capturing the capricious and creative aspects of teen mentality very well, and the idea of blogging their romantic ventures is very 21st century. The romance is family-friendly and clean, leaving off steamy details while still being dramatic and fun. I think teenage girls (I am not one) would enjoy reading of girls similar to themselves, and their mothers would be happy to read of romances that don't immediately rush through all the bases and get to home. I recommend this for both the target audience and those that remember being the target audience!Product details

I loved this book. I was really enjoyed the unique look at finding romance for young people. If I could say one thing it would be please keep writing. It is a safe book for my young daughter to read. In fact she did and loved it. Now we are suggesting it to anyone that wants to know.
This was a great story, a fun quick read. I laughed the whole way through, and enjoyed every minute. Not too sappy, lots of fun.
I am past the age this book is meant for, but it sounded too fun to not read. I'm happy I did, as it made me smile and even laugh at times. If I had a child over 13, I'd have no problem with them reading this.
Have 'known' Barbara Black Fox for several years on the internet. Have always found her view of our often confused world to be wise and crystal clear! Highly recommend this tome to her fans, and for the price, legions of soon to be new fans.
This book was a fun read! It was fast-paced, a little silly, and purely enjoyable. A light look at the joys and miseries of high school life through the eyes of an imaginative teen-aged girl.
The comical antics of the teens in the book kept me chuckling as I engaged with the characters in the kind of a tale I never tire of the yearning quest for love that is real and satisfying. The short novel is an easy afternoon's pastime. And while the romance genre is notoriously rife with drivel, this book is well-written. Many writers struggle with tiresome, stilted dialogue. Fox has demonstrated an ability to manage naturally flowing speech. My last descriptor, "legit," some may argue against. No way do today's teenagers talk this squeaky clean. Maybe not. Fox has been able to capture the sometimes irreverent witticisms in teen dialogue without the profanity. A good balance. Mainly, though, my "legit" assessment is because of the memories this stirred for me. I am certainly not Fox's target audience -- not by decades, but I did fall in love once, and -- wow -- this story could have been my own.
This book is geared towards tweens and teens. I read this book at the suggestion of a friend on Facebook. I have to say I was skeptical at first but soon found myself eagerly turning pages to find out the adventures the characters would have. I recommend this book and I believe it meets the mark for it's target audience. I can't wait until my daughter is a little older and I will definitely encourage her to read this book. Ms Fox did a wonderful job and the characters are so nicely developed that it would be easy to see this book become the first in a series.
